Today , we are celebrating “l’armistice du 11 novembre”, that’s to say armistice day .The armistice treaty between the Allies and Germany was signed in a railway carriage in Compiègne Forest on 11 November 1918, and marked the end of the First World War on the Western Front.
This is a time to honor those who have fought, and those who are fighting, for freedom in every part of the world.
Following are some pictures , taken as the sun was still present, a week ago. some wood logs for our fireplace … and today we really need it . And some vibrant flowers we made a bouquet of, and brought to the war Memorial …
