This weekend we have been celebrating my niece Celia’s 10th birthday .. I hardly realize she is already this age !! she looks like a lovely “demoiselle” now …
I wanted something special to mark this important childhood milestone … First of all, I offered her a couple of cooking books from a collection I love : cooking recipes for kids from the famous chef Lenôtre. She loves cooking, and it is one of the activity we love to share together. I also add a lovely pair of spoon-shaped earrings. she was thrilled.
This was in a first wrapped gift, with a note mentioning : “for the aspiring chef in you” …
In a second gift, I wrapped a lovely blossom pink camisole along with a few matching embellishments (lace, buttons, ribbon, beads, sequins …) and a note saying “ for the crafty girl in you” …
and then I suggest her we could embellish her new top together … I knew she was eager to learn how to paint fabric for a while … and .. what a coincidence, I had my materials with me :)
Then we spent a very lovely moment teaching and learning … I am proud to present you the almost-final result … there is still one step …
honestly, isn’t this camisole very lovely ? congratulations Celia, you are an artist .
