{ ladybugs and coccinelles }

cocci

I can honestly say I am often proud of myself but when I have actually discovered the result of this into the wild (YES ladybugs can be very wild creatures) photoshoot … Scroll down, you will understand why … This was finally worth ruining my pants (I kneeled down for quite a long time) …

Since my childhood, I have grown a particular tenderness for coccinelles … I mean ladybugs..

1.their name is just to cute…. I could say it hundred times a day still not getting burned out … coccinelle, coccinelle , coccinelle, coccinelle …try it …

2. they have a very sure sense of fashion .

3. they are what my grand father called “des bêtes à Bon Dieu” …meaning God’s creatures …and some sort of lucky charm. When I was very little , I often helped him in the garden … actually I was an immense field more than a garden …One part of it was full of organic carrots… and the carrots where hosting a myriad of ladybugs families… hundreds of them. that was a very poetic spectacle. The best part of it was watching my papy taking care of not crushing, of harming any tiny coccinelles… what normally should have taken 2 or 3 minutes finally turned out to take dozen of minutes. That’s was my papy René . A very patient and caring man…
