vacation photos, part I

chamberychambery

My dear friends I wish you a wonderful weekend … Mine is rich of wonderful promises . We are hosting my cousine ANNE… They came a long way to visit us.

A few weeks ago we spent a few days with them, in their lovely home, niched in the gorgeous Alpes Mountains. We have had so much fun. I realize I did not have the opportunity to share the photo with you … Here comes a few snapshots… First, i am taking you to a "petit tour" in the lovely city of CHAMBERY .... Such a sweet place to live ....

They took us to a gorgeous restaurant, on the edges of a beautiful lake … isn’t this place absolutely stunning ??
we really felt like we were in some luxuriant island beach …

beautiful little city...and the restaurant...WOW--looks like a place where I could spend a LOT of time

I tried to cheat and pull out my "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" cookbook but to no avail. I've given up :-) Can't wait to hear what it is...some sort of seafood dish, I'm thinking????

Looks fantastic...! Would those be frog legs or escargot? Just a guess!

Glorious photos! The history and character of European places is so much more than we have here in our comparatively young country. You know how I like old things! Heads up: An award for your blog on one of my morning posts tomorrow. Time to rehearse your acceptance speech so you won't need cue cards. :)

This is SO wonderful. I love the carosel. When I was in high school, I spent a bit of time in Gérardmer (Alsace). There was a carosel so similar there. Thanks for sharing!!
