My parents were awesome …

I’ve found this link via twitter (thanks to Gailoh) .. it is called my parents were awesome … It is  based on a very simple principle, and reminds all of us our parents once were young … It is funny, touching …and a great retrospective of the last decades hair styles … enjoy.

Before the fanny packs and Andrea Bocelli concerts, your parents (and grandparents) were once free-wheeling, fashion-forward, and super awesome.
Send to myparentswereawesome@gmail.com with your name and the name of those pictured.

This is so weird. Today I came across a website with embarrasing family photos, and this is like the opposite!

Too cool for school! (Yes, i really did just type/say that.)

I ran across this website a few days ago. It warms my heart :) The next time I visit my parents (they are 800 miles away), I'm taking the scanner so that I can upload a bunch of old family photos.

What an outstanding idea. There can be such a disconnect between generations and something as simple as seeing your parents when they were young can have a big impact.
